Audemars Piguet, the oldest fine watchmaking Swiss manufacturer, has just released two new versions of its iconic Royal Oak Frosted Gold Selfwinding Chronograph model.
The latest releases are presented in 18-carat white gold featuring a black dial with contrasting rhodium toned counters, and an 18-carat pink gold model that combines a blue dial with pink gold toned counters. This play with contrasts improves readability and adds a modern and graceful look to the heritage timepiece.
With the help of a Florentine jewellery technique, reinterpreted by Carolina Bucci, the Frosted Gold finishing is applied on the Royal Oak’s case and bracelet. The resultant diamond dust effect exhibit a brilliant appearance similar to that of precious stones.
At the heart of the masterpiece is the latest generation chronograph movement, the Self-winding Calibre 4401, visible through the sapphire case-back.
