In today’s world, consumers are seeking exclusivity, uniqueness and personalization. Fragrance house Guerlain is now catering to these needs by crafting bespoke perfumes.
The process isn’t novel to the French Maison, since its establishment in the 19th century, high profile personalities like Honoré de Balzac and Empress Eugénie came to Guerlain for their signature scents, but now you can too.
At the private rooms of The 68 Champs-Élysées store (or any location chosen by the client), perfumer Thierry Wasser takes clients on an olfactory journey to find what resonates most with them. Wasser will pose questions and absorb anecdotes to craft the foundation of the fragrance live, and then work diligently to bring together the final product soon after. When the scent adheres to the client’s needs and the premium quality of Guerlain, it undergoes strict testing and quality control.
Once finalized, the future owner immortalizes the scent with a custom name and chooses the bottle they want to take it home in.
