The French royal jeweller Chaumet presented the Tiara Dream exhibition from 16 to 26 of March in Riyadh.
Known for its exquisite tiaras worn by the likes of Empress Josephine, Chaumet transported 240 years of French savoir-faire to the King Fahad National Library through a unique sensory and emotional experience.
A symbol of power and prestige, an elegant fashion statement and a timeless investment, the house’s most beautiful historical and contemporary tiaras were displayed in a scenography that mixes the real and the imaginary.
Tiara Dream Riyadh revealed to its visitors a cultural dialogue between the French premium craftsmanship and the Saudi cultural heritage: like the sword of Napoleon and its signification in the Saudi culture, and the elements of the sky that serve as an inspiration in Saudi literature and poetry.
The blend of cultures was embodied through the style of fashion icon Empress Josephine and the structure of the Najdi costume from Her Highness Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman Al Saud. Saudi designer Honayda Saleh Serafi was also commissioned to design a unique bridal gown visualizing the fairytale dream of getting married in a tiara.
