Courrèges: Past, Present & Future

Courrèges  creative director Nicolas Di Felice presented the Spring/Summer 2022 runway show in a wide  square open space in the  center of Bois de Vincennes park. The opening looks featured a series of stylish geometric capes and ponchos in monotone colours which were strikingly modern with a clear fashion-forward aesthetic. André Courrège was a  revolutionary designer who foresaw the importance of healthy living and  toned bodies. He was known for his innovative and futuristic designs. Nicolas Di Felice re-introduced this modernism in the form of fresh and youthful structured designs, empowering the models to march enthusiastically around the field with their knee-high leather boots and baseball hats.

The season’s collection  presented minis, slit dresses, cross wrap halter tops, flared high waisted pants and Courrège vinyl jackets  amongst other looks combined with a  palette of bold colours. Silver, blue, and  pinks  captured and highlighted the ready-to-wear ease of the clothing. The Courrège collection had  all the elements of the past, present and  future.
